Honeymoon question...

Does anyone have any suggestions or thoughts about this idea? We are still totally clueless about where we want to go for our Honeymoon. We can't spend a fortune. But so far we've come up with going to Florida. We thought we'd stay at Disney for a few days, then drive down to Key West, and then come back up to Orlando and stay at Universal Studios for a few days. What do you think??? We thought it would be a mix of fun and relaxation.

Honeymoon question...

That is actually one of the ideas my fiance and I are throwing around. Except we were going to start at key west and relax a for a few days first. Then head up to Disney World for a few more days. So I think it sounds like a great idea:)

Honeymoon question...

Both Disney and Key West sound nice but just keep in mind that Orlando is about 400 miles from Key West - That`s at least 7 hours of driving each way.

Honeymoon question...

We spent several days in Myrtle Beach, SC. Hotels are plentiful and can be really cheap depending on the time of year. The Grand Strand is a beautiful expanse of white sand beach. There is lots of golf if you like that and it's about 90 minutes drive from Charleston where you can go visit some southern mansions and estates.

Honeymoon question...

Is it??? Someone said is was about 4 hours. I don't want to be driving for that long. Do you have any ideas on how we can get there? Maybe a flight from Miami?

Honeymoon question...

We are going to be doing the same thing. We are going on a cruise out of Miami. When we get back we are going to Orlando. For two days we are staying a the Grand Cyprus resort, and then we are staying at one of the hotels in disney. I think it will be fun. I'm just hoping that the weather is ok. We are going in September.

Honeymoon question...

I think Cape Air flys from Orlando to Key West. A much better way to get there!

Melissa - Key West Travel

Orlando & Key West are about 7-8 hours drive time. From Miami - Key West is about 3 hours from what I remember. Next time I fly. There might be a flight from Orlando to Key West. I would do that. If not there are some nice hotels in Miami (south beach) or something more low key in Bal Harbor. There is a really nice hotel there - The Beach House (not expensive). In Key West - there's not too much to do other than relax - which is why we go. There is a beautiful inn there. The Marqesa (sp?). If it's too much the bigger hotels are very nice! Key West can get pricey. Did you look into any cruises. At least they are mostly all inclusive - so you know what you are going to spend. Hope this helps

go west

we were thinking san diego and then (8 hour drive) to san francisco. We went to colorado this may and it was absolutely gorgeous!!!! summer season has cheaper rates (at ski resorts) and there is so much to do as well as relax. We also got the tickets for $175!!! (And a 5 star hotel for $80 p/night. and no hurricane season) Myrtle Beach also sounds great. Key West can be expensive. Try www.deltavacations.com for some great deals. We went to hawaii for under $1000 each (air and hotel) or www.travelocity.com

yabbobay...

Yup! It was 2050 for 2...but that was in april...a friend of mine is getting married in Aug and said it was about $1700!!! www.deltavacations.com We spent 9 days in Waikiki (honolulu), went parasailing, jetskiing, pearl harbor, the north shore, spent time on the beach and just lying by the pool. We also went to Maui for the day ($175 each) and that was great (www.hawaiiguide.com) - you go to 2 (dorment) volcanos - but you can set up tours to any of the islands doing a lot of different things. Let me know if you have any questions (what hotels, etc). The ONLY bad thing about hawaii is the long plane flight...and prices are about the same as manhattan - but you can't beat the price...
