Honeymoon question...
Since our money is extremely tight, we might not be able to go on a honeymoon. My mom said we might have to wait until a later date. I really don't want to do that. It won't feel like a honeymoon then. Anyway, I've mentioned this here before, but I still think that going to Florida for a week would be cheap and fun. But my fiance doesn't want to because it'll be hot. I'm sorry but anywhere in the middle of August will be hot. He wants to go to Alaska. Well, if we can't afford Florida, there is no way we're going to Alaska. I thought it would be fun to go to Disney for a couple of days, and then go Universal and Islands of Adventure. How much do you think that would cost? I wish we could afford it, but I thought it would be neat to go to Disney, then take a 3 day Caribbean Cruise leaving out of Port Canaveral, and then going to Universal. That would probably be too expensive. I don't know. I'm just trying to come up with a cheap, decent honeymoon! Thanks!

Cruises??
I don't know how interested you'd be in going on a cruise. We booked one for Feb. and it was only about $500pp for 5 nights plus the airfare to Tampa. The only thing you'd have to worry about is hurricane season.

To really save money
don't book anything now but wait until the last minute. You can start signing up for all the travel deal emails now. If you can wait until shortly before the wedding you can get a great deal on a long list of trips (Florida, West Coast, Europe, etc..) - just be open to the destination.

Idea
I got married in Sept and it was the weekend after the terrorist attacks. We canceled our planned honeymoon to the Canary Islands. Instead we went to Newport, RI for a few days. It was so easy because from LI you just take either the Pt. Jeff ferry or the Orient Port Ferry over to Conneticut and drive to Newport. For us we drove to Orient Point (1 hour), then took the ferry (1 hour 15 minutes) then drove one hour from Conneticut to Newport. There are lots of things to do in the spring/summer months and it's beautiful.

Disney
Disney can actually be quite expensive. We went for 5 days last May and stayed at one of their moderate hotels. Out price included airfare, airport transfers, ultimate park hopper pass and 4 discovery magic points per day (this is for meals, services or merch) and it ran us 2,300. But we spent another $500 - 600 on drinks, souveniers, and food (we didn't optimize the magic points). This was during their low season. You can price it out at their website. One of my friends went to Mystic Seaport for their honeymoon and loved it. There are tons of things to do, romantic B&B's and it's not too long of a drive.

Club Med
I think Club Med does a thing were you pay less money, and you sign up to go on vacation, but you don't know where you are going until the last minute. They put you where they have openings. It might be something to look into if you don't care where you are going. I've been to a club med and it was great. Everything but liquor is included. It might be worth checking out.

How about trying to go to..
Newport, RI is a great idea. Plus you can also go to Maine or Vermont. All of those are stunning in the summer. Have you thought of the cruise to Novia Scotia. I think it is around $1000 pp, but includes all of your meals. Disney can get expensive. The truth is I think you should give a very small favor, try www.favorlady.com for really nice bookmarks, then cut out any expensive extras like fancy invites and spend that extra money on your honeymoon. Also, speak to your catering hall. You might be able to move the date by a week or two and save a ton of money. We are having ours 11/2 instead of in October. We saved more than $5 pp, which adds ups in the end. Just some more ideas.Welcome New Vendors
