Hi ladies, so being that FH can only get a week off from work, would you think that going to Hawaii would not be worth the long trip if its just for a week? TIA

Re: honeymoon question
I think it's a lot of travel for a week. It's about 12 hours to get there and then you are jetlagged for a day or two once you arrive. If you could stretch it out with weekends to be 9 days off from work, it's a little more doable but it will be exhausting.

i agree. if you're going to do hawaii you should have at least 9 days to get a little out of each island if you can because each island is different!
save it for a time when you can get more time off work. maybe for your 5th or 10th anniversary.
just do the carrib.

Re: honeymoon question
we did it in 9 days - it only felt rushed b/c we did a cruise and were on a different island every day. totally up to you - could definitely be done, but might feel rushed

Re: honeymoon question
Probably not worth it given the travel time. Hope you find a nice alternative!

Re: honeymoon question
You go do so much more in a week some place else. You want to get the most out of your honeymoon. You don't want it to feel like it's over before you even get there. I would save it for a 10 year anniversary.

Re: honeymoon question
I dont think its enought time either. You waste 2 days of just flying. Carribean would be definitely be better for a week

Re: honeymoon question
I don't think a week would be enough. 9 days would be nice, but you would be exhausted, and would need a vacation to recover from your vacation.

Re: honeymoon question
My DH and I went to Hawaii...We were tired the 1st day. Then we were fine...The traveling going there wasn't so bad because we were so excited!! When we came home, it was worst!! I was falling asleep at work for a week....I think if you go for a week it might not affect you guys too much when you finally come back to our time zone...We stayed for 12 nights and must have got too used to being 6 hours behind....
