If you had the opportunity to go on a honeymoon with a timeshare and only pay for flights would you take it? The only thing is the resorts aren't all-inclusive and you had the choice from hawaii, bahamas, cancun, or st. John and in october! where would you go and why?

Re: honeymoon question
I say Hawaii- I feel like I might travel to those other places being on the East Coast, but Hawaii would be a more special trip.
And yeah- why not? But you have to do everything for yourself. How much would you save by doing the timeshare?

Re: honeymoon question
It really depends on the timeshare. I've been to some that were great, and some that were not so great in different places. There are a lot of great reviews online of nearly any of them that you might stay in.
I love Hawaii and I'm partial, because we're also going there for our honeymoon in October.

Re: honeymoon question
I don't think that I would but i'm a total control freak and like to pick the hotels myself. If it's a nice place, though, i'd say go for it. Definitely Hawaii...just because it's Hawaii!!!! Looks like a beautiful place with so many things to do---it's exotic, far away...I dunno. I've been to the Bahamas and Cancun and they were nice but nothing extraordinary!

Yes, this too. Defintely research beforehand. A few years ago my FH and I stayed in a timeshare in Puerto Rico and it wasn't very nice.

Re: honeymoon question
Definitely Hawaii! My cousin went there in April and said it was amazing. She stayed in my mom's timeshare and thought it was great too!
I'll be staying in my mothers timeshare as well (Most likely Curacao, but Hawaii is on our list too!) It can definitely save you money. You can make breakfast and lunch on some days if need be. IMO with the all inclusive you're kind of limited to your options. Whereas if you don't do all inclusive you venture out a bit more!
Plus every timeshare I've stayed in has been fantastic! Full kitchen, living room, jacuzzi etc.

Were prob using timeshare too, but are looking at all inclusive places. Of the places you named I'd def choose Hawaii.

Re: honeymoon question
Thanks ladies! Our parents time share that we would go through is great! And instead of paying for an all inclusive place and flights all we have to do is pay flights get a great hotel and can also get meal plan through the time share for a cheap price! So its def a great thing to take advantage of just didn't know where to go!
