FH desperately wants to go to Tahiti ( Bora Bora) for our honeymoon. (Its over a year away and its still all he can talk about) We are trying to look up prices but are totally confused with where to look for good quotes. Any suggestions? THANK YOU SO MUCH

Re: honeymoon question
i just looked around on my own at orbitz, expedia, etc
it was really expensive though so we opted for Hawaii instead.
Tahiti would have cost us $7000 just for flights & hotels for five or six days, if i remember correctly.

Re: honeymoon question
how much is hawaii costing if you dont mind .. thats where FH would like to go and ive seen some posts saying how expensive it is =\ a honeymoon is a honey moon and we arent going on a vac this year to save for next year .. so i wouldnt mind spending a 'double' vac price since i am saving for it lol

we did a 12 day Carnival cruise from Vancouver to Hawaii (stopping at each island) - it was 6 days at sea + 6 days at islands. all the flights + hotel for a day before the cruise + the cruise itself + hotel for a day after the cruise + food + excursions came to about $6000 in total for both of us. I did A LOT of shopping around though for the cheapest flights & cruise deals.

Re: honeymoon question
I'd recommend speaking to a travel agent, I love using online travel sites but for a place like bora bora I think they will be able to get you better deals. I know me and my FH want to look into either bora bora or hawaii too. Hope that helps date twin. :)

Re: honeymoon question
We booked through a travel agent for Tahiti. Yes, it's expensive but truth is if you really want to go there and don't make it there for your honeymoon, truth is you probably never will! FH and I could see ourselves travelling to Hawaii in the future but not Tahiti plus many Hawaiian island are getting crowded and touristy and we wanted something more laid back and 'less travelled' and so we opted for tahiti!

Re: honeymoon question
My TA told us Tahiti would be $10K+. My boss (who travels ALL over the world) recommended looking at Air Tahiti Nui. I looked and they did have great prices/deals if you fly out of Los Angeles. But we decided against Tahiti because of the travel time.
My friend was going to go to Tahiti for her HM in June but they had a national strike so nobody went in and nobody went out, so they were rerouted to Fiji. Just to give you an idea of the price difference, they renovated a bathroom with her Tahiti refund check.

Re: honeymoon question
If you are interested in Hawaii, Bank of America offers an Alaskan Air Signature Visa card, One of the Benefits of the card is a $99 companion fare ticket. Alaska Air flies to Hawaii. Not a bad deal for a ticket to Hawaii,

Re: honeymoon question
I booked our honeymoon with a fabulous travel agency. They were extremely knowledgeable, helpful, and available to us when ever we had/have questions. We decided on St.Lucia Sandals 1 Bedroom with a private plunge pool, They not only got us the best price we've seen but they are SO personable I actually enjoy speaking with them. The name of the agency is 1 World Travel Inc the phone number is 1-866-482-8999 their names are Trish, Maryann & Michelle their all really good.
Good luck hope you get the Honeymoon of your dreams as well.
Hopr this helped. Antonia

I'm using this to book economy and using the miles I have to upgrade to first class for our HM.
