Honeymoon Question (now with link)

Has anybody ever heard of or had experiences with Occidental Resorts . . . Expensive/Inexpensive? Good/Bad? Some of the resorts look so pretty on the website . . . thanks! Occidental Hotels and Resorts

Where are they? The name scares me, too close to Accidental. What is their web site? I'd try posting on the vendor board, M&M travel has FM'ed me a bunch of times for questions I've had.

ETA: I asked my FH what he thought of the name. He said, 'sounds too much like an accident'.

It looks very nice there, I'm sure you'll have a great time.

It looks very pretty there. I would go to a travel agent and just see if they have any brocures about it. Maybe the travel agent has visited there

We're going to the Royal Hideaway. I've heard nothing but wonderful things about it. I think ddunne23 went there for her HM too. I think the Royal Hideaway is nicer than the other Occidental resorts, but I don't know anything about those. FM me if you have any questions.

Have you tried to look up reviews on trip advisor? It is a great site where people put their opinions online of hotels, resorts, etc.

Just type the name of the hotel in the search box and it comes up with about 40 results for the Occidental.

Here is the link:
www.tripadvisor.com

Hope that helps a little..

I tried to look up the definition of Occidental and it means sunset.

hrmmm

I have been trying (unsucessfully) to ask people to give me an idea how much they paid to go to Playcar.. and NO ONE (but one) has told me.

So I can't say how expensive they are.. but we REALLY want to go.

Just wish we had a better idea how much it cost.

Whenever you want to see feedback on a resort or hotel, go to http://www.tripadvisor.com and do a search. Looking up on honeymoon places, I have checked there b/c people will post bad reviews.

It depends on the Occidental hotel. The Royal Hideaway is beautiful!! Some of their hotels are not as nice as the Royal Hideaway.
