Honeymoon Questions

We are thinking of booking our honeymoon this week. Right now we are looking at SANDALS GRANDE OCHO RIOS in Jamaica.

Is the first week of April a good time to go to Jamaica??

Also... they have GREAT prices for that resort right now, so we're thinking of getting the Ocean View Butler level room with the semi private pool. It's $100 more than the Garden view but the garden view room is not a Butler level room...

Do you think it's worth the extra $100 a week for the butler service?

Any tips or advice or reviews on this resort??

YES- the first week of April is good. It's not huricane season and Jamaica is far enough south that it is warm then (Beruida for eg- may be too cold)

Check out tripadvisor.com for reviews- they tell you the good, bad and ugly.

We will be in Ochos Rios the week after you. 4/7-14th (I think)

I'm not sure about Grande Ochos Rios, but we were considering Dunns River Sandals. One of my BMs went there and LOVED it. I think all of the Sandals are great though.

We are doing couples. They also have a sale going on. Same concept as Sandals.

Yes- im sure some days you will want to just stay in late and relax, having a butler and a dip pool is well worth that money per week. Plus ocean views are great to wake up to and watch the sunset.

YES!!! That's pennies for such a great service! Go for it!

Butler service is DEFINITELY worth it!!!

I am not sure about peak time for Jamaica, sorry!

I totally agree -- if the difference is only $100, I say go for it. When else in your life would you have butler service on a vacation?!

ugh I have no idea what I am going to do. I want to go to maybe a sandals resort but more like bermuda. I am having anxiety attacks about leaving my children lol I have never left my son for more then over night after I put him to sleep and I was home early the next day lol. This is too hard lol. I want to cry now so I don't really want to go away to far or for too long. Problem is I don't know anywhere close that I haven't been before. I been to Florida a lot but thats deff an option but Im not sure. Ughh this is annoying me lol. But me and hubby deff need it.

do you have someone who can go on vaca w/ you to watch your kids? Tou and your hubby can stay in a seperate room from the kids and their 'babysitter'. That was you don't have to be away from them for too long?

the room is only $91 extra for the whole week. it's not an addon or anything, it's the room catagory. I thought it was crazy that it was so cheap... but it is.

Not sure about April or the resort but Ocho Rios is a greatttttttttttttt place to stay to Party..!! you will have a great time., especially at the natural spring

I think it is def. worth it...more importantly...we were in Ocho Rios in December and it was AWESOME!!!!! Such friendly people. You seem like a spunky couple...you HAVE to do the Canopy Tour. Its zip lines across the rain forest...the MOST FUN WE HAVE EVER HAD!!!!! The people were sooooo about safety and fun!!!! We are a big fan of doing things on vacation that we can't do at home...this was def. one of those things. Let me know if you have more questions about it...it really was great. Even if you don't decide to do this....I think you will really enjoyed yourself...Jamaica is beautiful!
