Honeymoon Registries POLL

Honeymoon Registries POLL

Ladies, please give your honest opinions:

FH and I have lived together for 6 years and are having a hard time deciding on a registry (not much we need). We both DREAM of going to Fiji or Bora Bora for our HM, but

We're considering doing a HM registry and have received positive feedback from our friends and family. I was surprised when I recently read some negative comments on here about HM registries.

Please take my poll and help us decide- don't want to come across as TACKY

I dont see what makes it tacky? If its something the couple wants then why not help them out??

I wish the person that voted for tacky would say the reason why

usually when people pick that kind os option in a poll...they don't put why. same goes for dresses, flowers etc

I didnt vote, but I think it walks on the line of tacky. I think that the HM goes hand in hand with the wedding reception. Its something you should pay for. We put our HM money towards the wedding but didnt do a HM registry for that reason.
We have lived together for over 6 years and we registered for new dishes, new silverware, platters, picture frames, etc.

To each his own I believe, if you want to do it go for it. Some are going to think its a great idea and some arent. But then again, some may think what you put on a registry from a store is tacky so who is the one to decide for you.

I don't think it's tacky at all. You put on a registry things that you want and you want a really great honeymoon! FH and I aren't sure what we're doing for HM but as soon as we do, I will register with Liberty Travel. It's your wedding so you can do what you want!

I agree... i personally *dont* think its tacky and FH & I are in the same boat... (weve considered it) but we have a LOT of relatives that are traditional... it borders...

we just registered for new stuff and figured maybe people will give us $$ instead. we didnt register for much.

people have the choice to purchase from it or not ...go for it ....worse that happens is no one purchases anything

I think it's fine!!! I don't think it's any more tacky than the usual type of registry. It's a nice idea.

Last year - my MOH got married and had a registry at Macy's and the Honeymoon registry. This way - people could pick if they wanted to get her something more weddingy or if they would help pay for the honeymoon.

She wound up only having to pay like $300 for her honeymoon to the Bahamas.
