honeymoon registry

I wanted to know if any of you have heard of www.thehoneymoon.com One of my friends has an out of state wedding to attend. Most people buy gifts for weddings out of state and the couple said they have everything needed for their house since they live together already. I thought this was interesting. Your gift money buys the couple perks on their wedding. When I went to an out of state wedding there were gifts piled a mile high, I was the only envelope giver, lol.

my MOH is going to a wedding next month, and I remember her telling that the couple told everyone they registered for this honeymoon.com website. So we looked at it, its pretty interesting lol People can pay for your honeymoon basically. I dont think its for me really, but I guess some people don't need anything else (like home goods) so they can just register for a honeymoon lol I dont know

I've heard of it too. I'm not a fan of it though, I would never ask people to pay for my honeymoon. JMO.

Re: honeymoon registry

I’m going to have a honeymoon registry, just don’t know which one yet. The reason I’m having one is because since we’re moving overseas, we can’t get a lot of household stuff (which we have tons of anyway). I checked with my family to make sure they were comfortable with it, and they were so it’s all good.

Oh no, not at all! I had a cousin do it about a year or so ago and that was the first time I heard of it—I was kinda not fond of the idea. I WISH I could just do a straight up registery and get tons of cool kitchen stuff. But even if they got over there in one piece, they would be the wrong voltage!

I really want to do a honeymoon registry, as well. We've been living together for a year now so we pretty much have everything we need. I just don't know, which site works best. Anyone already registered?

I agree. If you don't really need to register for household items, tell them to donate the money to a charity in your name or something.
