Has anyone signed up for one of these registry. My friend was telling me about it but I felt that it was out of the norm to have that instead of a bridal registry. Maybe I am wrong, I am not too sure about it. Any info ladies??????
The ones I looked at were kind of 'eh'. It turns out that the 'gift' is really a cash deposit into an account the registry holds for you. So, you tell the guest that 'with this money we will scuba dive' but they don't really purchase a scuba diving outing, they just put that much money into the registry account. I thought it was kind of odd, because you really just request specific cash amounts and no one is buying you anything.
As an alternative, we are going to Disneyworld the first week of our HM, and I may make a registry of shows we want to go to, but then guests would actually buy us the show . . . I'm trying to find out if I can do this with Disney, and I think you can, but I'm not sure . . . .
