Honeymoon Registry

Honeymoon Registry

FH and I have been living together since November and pretty much have everything we need. We're getting married in 7 months so everything will still be relatively new by then. I wouldn't even know what to register for because we literally have everything we need for now and if we got extra new stuff, we wouldn't even have anywhere to store it because we plan on being in our apartment for a few years because we're still young and I'm still in college and we couldn't possibly afford a house right now. We're thinking about doing Sandals in Jamaica for our honeymoon, and we recently heard about doing a honeymoon registry. Does anyone know anything about them? Thanks!

Re: Honeymoon Registry

We did a Sandal's regsitry in addtion to Macys and BBB...I like it for the simple fact that people can give you money towards your honeymoon. I dont like the fact that Sandal's does not allow you to edit you registry, they set it up for you based upon the price of the trip. So, if you would like to register for a massage or dinner on the beach, you cant...but if people want to do that for you they can look up how much the services will cost and then 'purchase' that amount of money off of the registry and you can then apply it for that. I am not positive, but I think, you may be able to apply the registry gifts towards the total amount at the end, Not positive about that, but it might work that way.

Even if you and FH live together, register for new stuff!! FH and I used to live together so all of our stuff is in storage, but I registered for almost everything someone would need for a fully stocked home/kitchen...All of my old stuff is from either Dollar Tree, the Stop and Shop kitchen tools aisle and the pots I have were the cheapest things I could find and also from other people who didnt need them anymore...Go for new stuff!! Register for the awesome set of pots that cost $300, its something you wouldnt want to spend money on normally so give your wedding guests the option of spoiling you the way they want to!!

I would add a few things on your registry and then have a honeymoon registry.. I have seen it a few times! It acually easier because you go to the TA(travel agent) they take care of everything for you , put it in a nice little envelope and there you go LOL a gift

We're doing a HM Registry for the same reason and will have an additonal one for a few upgrades. Check out honeymoonwishes.com. Its the site a lot of big travel agencies use. You can edit your registry at any time. There is also another one we found on wedding channel or Knot.
