Well Danielle and I went yesterday to get prices on our honeymoon. We are planning to go to St Lucia Sandals. We are leaving on the 16th of august and staying for 7 nights.
I spoke to a friend at work and she told me that is a bad time to go, because of hurricane season. She said that her fiancee and her went to Bermuda last august and the weather was horrible. It rained heavy and was just very windy.
I dont know if I am taking a risk, in booking our honeymoon for that time. I know that Sandals will give you a free trip if your trip is effected by the hurricane season, but I do not see them doing this if it rains or is very windy.
What should we do>?

Re: HoneyMoon Season
Go to some place out of the hurricane belt. I got married last October and we went to Aruba, which is out of the hurricane belt. I would not risk my honeymoon being ruined!

Where did you stay in Aruba? We are looking for something that is all inclusive.

Re: HoneyMoon Season
I went to St. Lucia in August, and you are pretty safe. St. Lucia is more south and in the safe zone. WE LOVED IT!!!!!
anywhere in the carribbean is at risk from June-Oct...except Aruba...and that area
you may also want to look into Margarita Island off the coast of Venezuela...
I think Bermuda (at the NC latitude) may get hit more than other islands...think of all the hurricanes that never reach land...but probably cross over Bermuda

La Cabana. I wouldn't do all inclusive in Aruba, too many great restaurants on the island in my opinion!
