I am getting married in the Fall so that means its hurricane season for the Carribean. The travel agent suggested to go to Aruba or Antigua. We want to go somewhere that is romantic, but we are still able to do activities and still do something at night. I don't want a place where it's lights out at 10pm. Has anyone had any experiences either places? Thanks!

ive never been but from what i understand antigua is very beautiful but has little to do.... so that may influence you decision. is hawaii or europe or indian/bali/over there a possibility?

Hmm the lack of activities can be a big decision maker for Antigua. I know a lot of people love to go to Hawaii or Europe but after the wedding I want to get to the destination quickly and sit on beach with a drink in my hand. All that planning and stress I'll need a drink lol. Maybe down the line we can take a trip to those other far away destinations. Thanks for the input!

I am also leaning towards Antigua....Sandals has a resort there that is all-inclusive. You can look it up on the website. I definitely know what you mean about wanting to relax on the beach!

Oh Sandals is where the travel agent suggested in Antigua. It looks beautiful! I didn't know if it was fun. Like in Jamaica they have the bar that stays open late and places like Ricks Cafe you can go to. It's just that I've been to Jamaica several times.

What about St. Lucia?
ive been to Aruba. and love every min of it... not too big on the club scene out there..but places are open late and there is soo much to do.. and the food .. WOWZA!! i want to go back for HM, but FH wants to do something diff...
Im doing Sandals - either St. Lucia or Antigua.

sctrach that.. St. Lucia is located in the hurricane belt and it is possible for severe tropical storms to arise. The hurricane season is generally during the same time as the rainy season, June through November.

You won't be disappointed in Aruba!! I love it there! We're not going for our HM bc I wanted someplace different but Aruba is def. beautiful!

I've been to Aruba and its one of my favorite places! (never been to antigua but hear its beautiful)
Great weather, great restaurants, great service....i stayed at the hyatt when I was there.
If you go and will be there on a sunday - book the sunday brunch at the ruinas del mar at the hyatt (its unbelievable)!
