Honeymoon stress....

Honeymoon stress....

Still haven't booked it yet!! Originally going to Aruba, but I think we waited too long and now the price of the Riu went up almost $2,000 from November, when we last looked!!! We are on a budget, unfortunately.... looking for alternatives.... we def want all-inclusive too, and some place right on the beach....

Any feedback on these spots? Punta Cana, St. Thomas, St. Lucia, St. Kitts, Turks & Caicos (I think that maybe too expensive) .... we are looking to go somewhere neither of us have been and this is what we came up with

The Marriott in St. Kitts is great - I loved it there. there is not a whole lot of night life on the island, but there is a casino in the hotel and some very casual beach bars that are a lot of fun, not too far away. I stayed at Club Med in Turks & Caicos - not a HM spot, but the beaches there are unbelievable - the whitest soft sand and calm turquoise water - can't be beat.

Ever think about going on a cruise? They are all inclusive (minus drinking) and if you break down the cost by day, then it really is a great deal.

I loved, loved, loved Excellence in Riviera Maya, Mexico....so much so that we are considering going to Excellence in Punta Cana for our honeymoon.

We thought the prices were great for all inclusive.

That's funny...we were looking at the Excellence in Punta Cana last night.... maybe I'll see you there It's the same week!

We considered a cruise, but my FH has never been,,,and I'm afraid he may not like it,,we both love the beach and wanted a place to stay right on the beach. Also, we are leaving Monday, and alot of cruises leave Sat/Sun.

my FH and I narrowed our honeymoon down to Punta Cana or Aruba. I priced out a travel agent since I cant look at any prices yet. But for November: Punta Cana Excellence is $3400 with air fare 7 nights - honeymoon special. Aruba was $4300 with airfare no honeymoon upgrade.

Punta Cana without the honeymoon upgrade was $2980. I hope this helps.

I stayed at ocean blue resort all inclusives in Punta cana and I had a great time, very beautiful, great food, great staff. I dont remember exactly what I paid but it was not bad at all, went around memorial day weekend

Going to Riviera Maya for 12 days for $3500. We had booked in August for $4200 and its gone down $700 since. I used a great travel agent. Let me know if you want any information.

i went to punta cana (stayed somewhere else)...its a nice place however there isnt much to do outside from the resort
so if youre looking for more activities, tours, etc, i would suggest elsewhere
if you want to relax at the pool daily and do nothing...punta cana is great!

Went to Punta Cana last Nov and stayed at the Excellence, loved the resort. But only left it twice for excursions.

we are looking at a hm in november too.. thats a great price.

FH and I went to the Excellence in Punta Cana last January.. AMAZING!! I would love to go back. The price was amazing for what you get, they cater to you, the food & drinks were great, and the room was fabulous!!!

Also, they offer a VIP package that allows you to have a room that is close to the beach which is definitely worth it because the resort is HUGE and it wasn't much money to upgrade. Hope this helps!

Like any international country - drink bottled water. Its not the same filtered water that we are used to. So when you brush your teeth, rinse with a bottled water, drink only bottled water. Most hotels on the strip have filtered water that is used for their drinks that are given out on the resort.

I lovvvvvvvvve punta cana!!!one of the best vacations i been on and not pricey. we stayed at royal suites turquesa adults only and it in a complex of 3 diff hotels soo much to do
