So my FMIL offered to pay for our honeymoon! which was great! now she is saying she will give us $5000.00 we had it in our mind to book a cruise through the mediterranean! I was so pysched but it is totaling almost $7500.00! We have been to mexico, puerto rico, DR, aruba (we travel alot) I dont want my FMIL to go broke paying for our honey moon but i can't come up with any other places and my FH is so stubborn he doesnt want to go any where but europe!! any help or advice would be great! Im ready to cry!!

why not put money towards the amount she will give?
5000 is a very generous gift! If i were you id just find something that was int he budget! I wish my FILs would do that! lol

why dont you use the 5k and then put your own money towards the rest? or would that be looked at as an insult in some way?

I was going to add the difference, i feel bad about my FMIL even shelling out 5000.00 im not used to people giving money like that, She is awesome and I love her and dont want her to stress to give us the money!

aww im sure she wouldn't do it if she didnt want to! I would ask her if she is sure and then talk to her about adding money i fyou are set on going to europe!
