I'm wondering if anyone can help me. FH and I are thinking of going to the Bahamas for our honeymoon and have narrowed it down to two resorts:
Sandals on Cable Beach Raddison on Cable Beach
Has anyone stayed at either place or no anyone who has? The travel agent we met with also mentioned Breezes, but she said there is a party scene there, which we're not so into.
Thanks!

Re: Honeymoon Suggestions
i just went to breezes with some girls from work during april break.. i def would consider radisson - nothing wrong with breezes - we had all inclusive, the beach and anemities were great, night entertainment too.. but for a honeymoon - maybe go to raddsion or sandals ..
i went to radisoon during the day and it looked nicer and was cleaner and much much bigger... my friend had gone there with family twoce and loved it... the casino is attached, it has a huge pool, but not a big beach area as breezes...
i cant comment on sandals b/c it was soo covered up - very inimate, im sure... good luck - it is soo nice there - go to straw market by the port, senor frogs and atlantis...

Re: Honeymoon Suggestions
Me and my FH stayed in Sandals about 2 years ago. It was nice. What is great is that you are sort of in your own world there b/c it is very different than all of the other resorts. It is very honeymoonish (not a word). Pools and swim-up bar is great. Food is just ok. It was fun. i would also consider maybe ending your honeymoon with a couple of days in Atlantis on Paradise Island. It gorgeous ther and worth going. Good luck w/ your planning.

Re: Honeymoon Suggestions
If you're torn between these two, check out www.tripadvisor.com and read the reviews of travelers that have been there. That site was so helpful to me when I was torn between hotels. Good luck!

Re: Honeymoon Suggestions
I used to work for the company that does Public Relations for the Radisson Cable Beach. I have heard mixed reviews about it from both visitors and press people. Although I think it would be a good choice, there may be a few other hotels out there that are just as nice, and maybe for a little less money?

Re: Honeymoon Suggestions
Hi ladies,
Thank you so much! We were really on the fence about these places. Especially thank you for tripadvisor.com. This was so helpful! The Radisson got really mixed reviews, but the negatives were pretty negative--bed mites, dirty rooms, rude staff, etc. Didn't sound good, esp. bed mites! Who wants to itch on their honeymoon?

We are going to St. Lucia (sandals) I haven't been there before but I know people who have and they loved it!

The Radisson is beautiful. The pools are huge and you can do parasailing, jetskiing etc right from the beach at the hotel. I would totally recommend going all inclusive because they have great restaurants.
