Honeymoon Suggestions...

We don't want to fly so this limits our choices...

Does anyone have any good suggestions on where to go? Thanks!

Do a tour of New England. It is beautiful there and you have lots to do.

Re: Honeymoon Suggestions...

There is a GREAT B&B in Vermont that we stayed at. It was very romantic and the place was BEAUTIFUL! I would highly recommend it. It is a little pricey - but definitely worth every penny. While you might not want to stay there the whole time (there isn't too mcuh to do there other than ski), it would be a great part of a honeymoon. I can't wait to get back there. The Inn Keepers are so nice - the breakfast was great, and the place was so clean! Here is their website:

Re: Honeymoon Suggestions...

Block Island? We are having 2 honeymoons, one straight after the wedding for a few days, and then Europe later in the summer. For the one just after the wedding, we are considering Block Island. I just requested information form The Block Island Chamber of Commerce (they have a website). It really looks nice

Re: Honeymoon Suggestions...

Cruise to Bermude (leaves from NY).

My friend also drove to Florida and took a cruise of the Carribean. She was suppose to leave for her honeymoon the day after the DR flight crash. So she postponed her honeymoon to Tahiti and drove to Florida.

New England,
Block Island,
DC,
Myrtle Beach,
Newport, RI
Cape Cod

Re: Honeymoon Suggestions...

Newport RI
We love it there. Very romantic. Try the viking hotel or the Wynstone (800-524-1386)
We stayed at the Winstone and it was the most romantic place. Georgous rooms, tubs for two and great hospitality. We are picky and this place it the best. Not cheap though.
Good luck

Re: Honeymoon Suggestions...

Definitely look into the cruise to Bermuda. It's really great and it leaves every sunday from NYC in the summer. You will have a great time.

Re: Honeymoon Suggestions...

Caesars Pocono Resorts - Paradise Stream. We go there at least one a year & FH said we will ALWAYS go there after we are married for our 'mini-moons' It is one of places that I can always relax & have a great time. The rates include all you can eat breakfast & dinner. They have activities everyday that you can do if you want to or you can do none of them. There are heart shaped or champagne glass hot tubs in the rooms as well as pools in some of the rooms. They have 4 resorts but Paradise Stream is nice & small making it alot more intimate therefore romantic!!!
