Honeymoon Suggestions

I posted this on BHB yesterday but could use more suggestions:

Hey girls - FH and I need some help. We want to go on a honeymoon for about a week. We both want to go to places we will never go again and do fun things like snorkel, deep sea fish, etc and we want GREAT food.

We figured we would do a cruise (like a 7 night w/ 4 or 5 stops) but we're debating that. We don't want Sandals as we've heard the food is just 'okay'....not GREAT.

Any suggestions?!?!

We would love to do fun activities, see places we'll never go again and just have fun. We're not the lay on the beach all day kinda people.

HELP! TIA!

Re: Honeymoon Suggestions

I was going to suggest Jamaica but then you said great food and I wouldnt really say it was great food.

Jamaica is awesome for snorkeling, helmut diving, horse back riding in water., jet skiing, parasailing, kayaking, canoeing.
Jeep excursions...
And everything was so so so cheap!

BTW: I went with friends but we stayed in Whydham, in Montego Bay, we took excursions to Ocho Rios, Negril, and Kingston. Everywhere was AMAZING, I want to go back!

Royal Hideaway in Mexico

Aventura Spa Palace in Mexico - we went there, the food was yummy - not GREAT but better than Sandals...

ETA: Riviera Maya Mexico has a lot of excursions: scuba, snorkel, ATV, ruins, aquariums, ecological parks, nightlife, etc..

Re: Honeymoon Suggestions

For cruises definetely check out cruisecompete.com (and don't go through a travel agent.).

You'll usually get upgrades or sometimes get money for onboard credits which totally rocks!!!

There are a lot of cruises that leave from NY that go to the Carribean so you wouldn't have to worry about airfare.

Yeah, we're not sure we want to do a cruise anymore and no way from NY in Feb...I want immediate warmth not prolonged floating to the warmth....

where r u guys going?

Still unsure. We keep coming up with different idea, but keep going back to St. Lucia. We still have time before we can book, so still undecided. Would you mind FMing about how much you guys are paying, because that really sounds amazing if we end up going to St. Lucia.

We got a quote from our travel agent about an adventure honeymoon in Costa Rica. It sounded amazing but we were looking more relaxing. If you FM me your e-mail address I can e-mail you the itinerary that was sent to me.

DUH what was I thinking I don't even think anything leaves from NY in Feb....We're not going on our cruise until May (though its in Europe so other than swimming, the only way to get there is fly)

I think its because i'm today
