Honeymoon suggestions Aruba vs St Lucia

Hi everyone!
Right now, my fiancé and I are between Aruba or St Lucia for a honeymoon. Having never been to either, just curious if anyone had any opinions about one versus another. If so, any hotels or resorts you recommend? Thank you so much! :)

Honeymoon suggestions Aruba vs St Lucia

We are honeymooning in Aruba and staying at Bucuti and Tara resort. Our travel agent said it's supposed to be fantastic. Plus there's a lot to do in Aruba which is why I picked it over places where there's only the beach.

Honeymoon suggestions Aruba vs St Lucia

We went to Aruba last summer and stayed at the Riu Palace. It was amazing. We did the all inclusive, but there is also so much to do outside the resort, and it's a fairly safe country, so you can feel safe walking around at night. The beaches and everything is just so beautiful.

We are going to Aruba and staying at the RIU (all inclusive) I heard its amazing and highly recommended.

I've never been to St. Lucia but we've been to Aruba twice and we really love it there. We stayed at the Bucuti the first time we went, we rented a Bungalow ( they're literally on the sand ) and it was a really nice experience. If you do Aruba and have any questions feel free to FM me

I'm stalking this post because we are considering Aruba too! Or Tahiti if we hit the lotto ...

We were going to do Tahiti or Bora Bora type of place which I heard is unreal and unlike any other trip. However, I picked Aruba b/c 1) I can't sit on a long plane ride, and 2) I wanted things to do. I heard those other places have just the beach and that's it.

Honeymoon suggestions Aruba vs St Lucia

I've been to St. Lucia, and it's more of a 'stay at your resort' type of trip. So if you are fine with that there are a lot of beautiful resorts there. If you want to be able to really leave and explore the island I would go to Aruba.

Btw, love your wedding date, it's my birthday!

I've been to Aruba and I absolutely loved it..we stayed at the marriot ocean right off the beach..no wonder people keep going back to Aruba..it's paradise

We are going to Aruba and staying at the Divi resort, FH family friend has a time share there so it'll be our wedding present. But it was on the top of my list considering we are getting married during hurricane season and the Maldives was wayyyy out of budget.

If you go to Aruba, you HAVE to do the Kookoo Kunuku bus tour. It's literally the funnest thing to do on the island! We had dinner at El Goucho, the best steak I've ever had in my life. If you stay in the high rise section, there's tons of little street shops you can walk around to at night. And you can sign up for any excursions right in the hotel lobby.
