I've never been to Belize, but it sounds amazing! I do have advice for a travel agent. I used Barbara Gronowski at Tyree Travel. I don't know where you live but the agency is located in Old Bethpage. Here is the info:

We booked our dream honeymoon to Greece with her. We gave her a budget and she stuck right to it and even got us some extras like massages and champagne... She is so sweet and easy to talk to. You can tell that she truly cares that you enjoy your honeymoon for whatever price you can afford. Good luck and have an amazing honeymoon!

oh belize is beautiful!!!! i went on a cruise there last year, and we went to this little island off the coast--it was beyond perfect--
i dont know of a travel agent, but if you do a search on here some should come up

Belize is beautiful and cheap but there are nearly no nice hotels there. It is a very poor country. Just look at the pictures online of the hotels. There is hardly anything beyond 2-3 stars.

I am going to Belize on my honeymoon. THere are plenty of nice hotels just not the huge resorts that you will find in many other places. We are staying on Ambergris Caye. I booked my airfare myself and the hotel through Travel tom.
Belize is more laid back casual place than say the mayan riviera......so it really depends what type of HM you want. We are scuba diving and doing adventures.

I went to Belize with a friend of mine in may 2005. We stayed in Ambregris. It was lovely, although not much to do beyond water sports.
