honeymoon to Italy

I was wondering if anyone is going to Italy for their honeymoon. If so, can you please give me a sample itinerary. My FH and I plan to go for 2 weeks and definitly want to go to Florene, Rome and Venice. Any guidance you can give me would be great!!!

I'm getting married the week after you and as much as we would have LOVED going to Italy (it was our #1 choice), we have nixed this option because their weather is like our weather - so October means 50-60 degrees everyday, and it's their rainy season... so we don't want to risk having cold and/or rainy days for our entire honeymoon (obviously there's a chance it can be warmer and not so rainy, but we don't want to take the chance).

We still don't know where we're going, but it looks like Hawaii for now.

We were talking about the weather issue as well. One of the problems we have is that my FH hates beaches!!! i guess we will have to see what happen. thanks for the reply!!

If you're in Rome, the Amalfi coast is a short journey and it is breathtaking. We're going to Rome for 3 days and Capri for 10 days. We've both seen alot of Italy and we just want to relax not do much touring.

That's why we didn't go too. I figured I can go to Italy another time when the weather is better.

jweatherwise - the weather in october is not as cold as it gets here..

i think it would be comfortable weather to do what you are looking to do.. touring the cities and not the beaches..

Re: honeymoon to Italy

Check out Travelzoo. We got our flights for 600 each (including taxes) into Rome. Hotels we ended up booking through Expedia. We are staying in 2 different hotels and are staying for 7 days. Everything for the hotels came out to less than 1000 total.
