I am 10000000000% NOT bringing my brand spanking new wedding band or e-ring to Barbados with us! I actually purchased a super skinny rose gold 3/4 eternity band to wear on occasions like this when I do not think it's best to wear my rings. I am OCD with cleaning my rings, and I couldn't ever bear to get sand/oil/sunblock in them, and I'd never in a million years leave them in a hotel safe!

This is tough bc a part of me would love to bring my rings if I were in your position, but than I'd be too afraid to lose them in cases where I'm on the beach and a wave comes. It happened to my friend's husband, where a huge wave came and pushed him under, and when he resurfaced his ring was gone. If you choose to bring it, put it in the safe when doing excursions where you may have the possibility of losing it. I'm ocd , and would prob worry about it being there when I get back though . I guess it would depend on what type of excursions you are planning to do, and if you think your rings would be safe.

left my rings at home. I was so happy I decided against bringing them, I know I would have been a nervous wreck if I did because we did lots of active stuff. I got a stand-in from QVC....it was like $40 and it's so pretty I wear it as a right hand ring sometimes!

DH also got a cheap band to wear, which is good because it slid off in the Great Barrier Reef!

I just got back from a trip to the Dominican Republic and I was really scared about bringing my ring. I locked it up in the hotel safe every morning with the valuables we brought (our wallets, ipad, phones, etc.) We were a little nervous, but it was fine in there, and then I could wear it at night to dinner. I will probably do something similar for our honeymoon. There's no way I'm not wearing my new wedding ring on that trip! That's what hotel safes (and insurance) are for.

I'm going to Jamaica in a week and trying to find a stand in e-ring (not married yet!). I wouldn't be able to enjoy myself worrying about it!

I wore my rings on our honeymoon and in the day when we were at the pool or beach I kept them locked in the safe in our room and they were fine.

I think I'll be wearing both my ering and my band. I wear my jewelry constantly such as my earrings and others rings so I never take them off.

I will absolutely be wearing both of my rings. I want to show them off! I will probably lock them in a safe on beach days, but other than that I am so excited to have them!

My e ring had to be sent back to jeweler to get fixed at one point, and I felt like whenever I spoke about my wedding people looked at my finger and were confused. Paranoid? Yes, probably, but I hated that feeling and certainly don't want to have it on my honeymoon.

I feel the same way! I was just in Disney for a few days and the first day, I left my ring in the hotel safe because I was nervous with the rides and we met some characters that day and I was wearing a 'Just Engaged' button and Sleeping Beauty was like 'Oooh! let me see your ring!' uhhhhh.... SO next day I wore it and any characters that asked to see were so cute and Goofy even pretend married us =P

I would def get a different cheap ring to go to do water activities. Would never wear mine to the beach. There is a reason why you see those people with metal detectors searching the beach!!!

I'm bringing my rings. When I went to hawaii last year I left my ering in the hotel safe whenever we went to the beach. We are going on a cruise so if we do any water related excursions I will leave it on the boat.

I just can't imagine trusting a hotel safe...when I was in Italy, myself and all the people on my tour were constantly having our rooms messed with...I'm sure someone could get it open if they wanted to. We have insurance of course, but no amount of money would give me back *my* ring. I didn't want anything fake, so I just got a teeny tiny RG band..

I'm having my ering and two wedding bands soldered together while we are on our honeymoon. It's takes like 2 weeks so I figured that was perfect. I got a $35 fake ering/band set from eBay and it's a perfect stand in. I've even worn it to the beach this summer when I don't want to get sand/lotion in my good stuff!
