We haven't booked yet so I am having a hrd time figuring out what I am going to do. Where are you planning on going? We are planning to go to Hawaii so I bought a book and I am doing a lot of research I am going to price everything out myself and then go to different travel agents and see what they have to offer. Some travel agents have discounts that we aren't privied too. I just want to make sure we get the best deal. As for the travel agents we are going to see...not a clue.

That's a good idea. We are actually thinking of Hawaii as well or Tahiti... but I don't know ANYTHING about either of the two.. lol And I do want to make sure we are getting a good deal.

I bought the book the unofficial guide to Hawaii, it's really good and I plan to take out some more books from the library so I won't have to spend a lot of money. You should definitely use the site tripadvisor.com you can look up any hotel and see a bunch of reviews from real tourists, the reviews are very truthful and people will post up their own pictures which is great because you can see what the hotels really look like. I don't know much about Tahiti but I do hear it is beautiful. Hawaii has a bunch of different islands that you can stay on, so far I have read the maui and kauai are the best for honeymooners. You can even go to a hawaii website and see what islands fit what you are looking for. If you need any help with information on hawaii let me know.

We were looking into the Sandals resorts online and then went to a travel agent that supposedly specializes in Sandals. The lady gave us a quote that was double the price we found online. So, we may just book everything ourselves.

Thanks a bunch. Yeah I usually use tripadvisor when we book our all inclusive trips and it is very helpful actually. You seem to be getting very much informed which is the right thing to do.

that's exactly what I am afraid of - that they will rip you off.. or that you can just find something better on your own.]

Me too, we went to one travel agent and he was exactly double the price then what I found myself online. The only thing I didn't add on to my search was a rental car which I am sure will not raise the price that much. I think the guy we met with was absolutely ridiculous and he really was taking us for fools. I will only say that the travel agent was in garden city, FM me if you want to know the name of the place.
