I'm confused. If you are changing your name, when you go on your honeymoon do you have to have official documents (passport) with your new name or are you under your old name when you travel.... b/c I would think that legally they wouldn't match up? Would there be any problem?

Re: honeymoon with new name?
Have all you travel docs in your name on your passport and id. Change everything when you get back. Travel Agent told us this.

Re: honeymoon with new name?
yes, you should travel in your maiden name - for exactly the reasons you mentioned...I only used my new name when signing the bar tabs at the resort

I don't think you can change any of your legal documents- driver's license- etc.. until you have the marriage license. Definitely something when you get back - one less thing to worry about

100% agree - your HM has to be booked with your maiden name, or you'll have some serious problems at the airport when the reservation name and passport name don't match.

Absolutely book travel in your maiden name...and, it's a good idea not to change your passport as soon as you get back either. You never can tell...you may forget to change your name on a credit card you rarely use, or something where you'll have to have ID with your maiden name.

you can use your new name at the hotel and be called MRS XXXXX! But NOT for travel!
