I am soo angry! First we were suppose to go t Hawaii for our Honeymoon, but b.c of FH's schedule we could not take enough time off. Then, today we decided Aruba, finally got all excited & just found out that the hotel is ALL booked! NOT 1 ROOM!! I didn't think we had to book this early?!
UGH! Any other suggestions for warm beach locations, perfect for a 5 day stay except Mexico (went there 2 years ago).
TIA

They prob haven't released all the rooms yet! Don't worry! Wait a little bit and try again. Have you tried a travel agent? Many times their able to get rooms through tour operators that have rooms.

Re: HONEYMOON WOE'S
Had the Fiance call and find out if tehre was any way they could give us just 1 room and they said NO - there is a conference going on that weekend!
I checked out Costa Rica but the reviews were telling me that the beach is dirty so I scratched that idea.
I'm considering going a week after I actually get married b/c I love the ARUBA hotel sooo much! Do you think that is a bad idea?

I would recommend Punta Cana in DR. The beach is gorgeous! I've been there three times. My favorite place is the Melia Caribe / Tropical but I have heard good things about other places there too.

Have you tried Sandal's resorts?
Also, have you looked into the Dominican Republic? They have great inclusive beach resorts in Punta Cana, & Boca Chica.

The in-laws have time share with Marriott so we are sort of limited in where we can go and stay. The other factor is that it is January and some locations - Europe - are too chilly.
im going to call the Hotel directly and see what is going on - I just tried booking the week after or even 2 weeks after and continues to say completely booked. I'm hoping you ladies are right and they are just holding rooms for now.
Thanx for all the help -

Thank you!!! FH cant take enough time off for us to go to Hawaii. :( That was my number 1. A lot of you are mentioning Jamaica & St. Lucia - I should really take a look and see if there is a Marriott there.

Re: HONEYMOON WOE'S
With Timeshare - or the MArriott reward points - they pay a monthly fee so the hotel wont cost anything - they just use the points they pay for on a monthly basis. the only thing that will cost some $$ is the airfare and expenses which they said they will take care of.
I called Aruba directly and they told me to call back tomorrow when their inventory people are in - its a holiday today. She said they haven't released all the rooms and that is why it's showing up booked! You girls were right. THANK YOU!
