Honeymoon...BORABORA - HAWAII - ST. LUCIA?

Hello Brides,
I need assistance. What do you think in terms of a honeymoon location? Borabora, hawaii or st. lucia and why? Let me know if you have pictures as well or post please!
Thanks!!!

We are going to St. Lucia for a short trip right after the wedding. 3 months later In July, we are going to Hawaii.

In my opinion, after the wedding you want to relax asap. Hawaii is so far that is not not relaxing for at least a day or 2 after you leave. Bora Bora is even further. It is a trip of a lifetime to go there, just not sure that I would want to go right after my wedding. Maybe for an anniversary trip.

I have been to Hawaii before. Never to Bora.

good point! Are you staying at Sandals in St. Lucia by any chance?

No, we were trying to save money so we didn't do all-inclusive. We don't drink and it didn't seem worth it to stay at Sandals. We are staying at Oasis Marigot private villas overlooking the bay. We will have to take a taxi to the main area with restaurants or walk 20 min but I think it will be fine. We wanted water view and privacy.

There's a huge price difference and different water and sand color if that makes any difference to you. Huge difference in travel time too obviously.

St.Lucia has a darker sand color, more brown than other caribbean islands with specks of black, so water color is different too. And choppyness is different depending on what part of the island you are staying at.

Everyone except one couple told me to go to borabora as you can't go there after you have kids. It's not a family vacation kind of trip. The couple that told me not to go there are very active and would rather have stayed in hawaii which is where they spent part of their honeymoon.

Up to you on how much you want to spend and what you want to do.

Bora bora!!! I hear it's the most amazing place you will ever go in your entire life and probably won't get the chance to go there again!! That's where FH and I are going and we hear nothing but amazing reviews about it. HTH!

hawaii or st. lucia. i've been to both and you will love either one. st. lucia is better for just chilling out, and hawaii is better if you want to do some activities and explore. never been to bora bora but i have had several friends go and they said it was pretty but very boring (no excursions) and that everything was super expensive when they got there, especially the food. also the flight is like 20 hours!

We are going to Bora Bora and we couldn't be more excited! Yes its a long trip over there, but I think it will def be worth it! We are going for 2 weeks and we are staying at the Hilton in the over water bungalows! If you want more information, let me know!

we are doing St. Lucia. my sister went to Bora Bora (actually Tahiti, morea, and borabora) and she said it was beautiful and fun, but yes, not much to do and very expensive once you get there. we wanted the privet bungalo experience but my FH just wanted to lay on the beach. to me, i was not going to fly all over the world to do nothing. So we are staying at TiKaye Village in a cottage with a privet pool and then at Ladera in a one bedroom suite (it's not a sperate cottage, but it only has 3 walls, so still feels very tropical and privet)
