Honeymoooooooon

So we thought we were set on Punta Cana for our HM in the first 2 weeks of May, but I've been reading too much about it being the rainiest time in that area, and I really don't want to risk being rained on. So in a way, I feel like we're back on square one :(

I've been looking at Hawaii because somehow the prices are really reasonable around that time, but can't decide on which area would be best. Waikiki almost seems to be the most affordable but I don't know much about the area.

We looked at Thailand too but that I think is a bit over the price range.

Any other ideas folks have? Sorry - I know this question has been asked like 5 million times, but it's so hard to narrow it down on a budget.

Thank you!!!

how about Italy. A coworker had his HM there for 3 weeks, he paid like 6k!!!! BUT he and now-wife planned the whole trip by themselves

6K is way over the budget, and plus we really want to go somewhere w/ a beach. We both love it and know we want it to be part of our HM. I think early May is still too chilly to go to the beach in Europe, but Italy is gorgeoooooous

We haven't booked (we're gonna book in feb) yet. We are going through my cousin, she owns a travel agency and priced out everything for us already.

Waikiki is nice, but definitely more crowded then some other parts.

register for the honeymoon! That could help bring down the cost too!
You don't even want to know what we are paying for our honeymoon to Tahiti but we have a honeymoon registry since FH and I lived on our own and now together so we have all the basic bridal registry items! So aside from fine china, we just want ppl to help us with our honeymoon!

I wouldn't stay in Waikiki for the entire honeymoon.. It's VERY touristy and not relaxing.. maybe 1-2 days then fly to the other islands

Kauai, Kona are all good options
