Hoover Floormate - FYI

For those of you who have one and use it on laminate (pergo) flooring. I called Pergo to confirm it was ok to use on their flooring and the guy immediately said NO!

I don't know what to do. DH says they really can't endorse another companies product and if they say it's ok and something happens they would be responsible. So do I continue to use it or should I return it?

I love it and it saves me SOOOO much time!
