Hope you can help

I came across a check list on here that you should ask each of the catering halls you visit. I am visiting my first hall next week (very exicited). I was wondering do you bring in the list with paper and jot stuff down? It would make sense to do so because I don't think anyone would be able to remember everything on the list. But was just looking for some feedback on how you girls do it? Thanks

Don't just stop at a list -- bring a camera, too!

I made a list of key questions I felt necessary to ask. I kept it in my wedding planning folder, whipped it out when we sat down and wrote my answers as we went. It was so helpful because t here was no way I'd remember everything! I crack under pressure

I bought a pretty note book and carried it everywhere with me. Hubby and I jotted notes on likes and dislikes after all appointments and kept a list of questions we wanted to ask on vendor interviews.

Catering Hall Q's were like

The max for this room is 150 but how many fit 'Comfortably' (ask BM his/her opinion)

What is the per person price for vendors/children

Can we take pictures anywhere on premises (most say yes but the truth is not really if there is more than one wedding happening)

If your CH is supposed to be outside where is the alternate location if it rains. (IMPORTANT Make sure you see this room!!)

Do you expect to have any renovations between now and the time of XXXX <- date of your wedding.

Yup, bring the list and go down the questions. And write EVERYTHING that the BM manager says down. So important. We were able to get things thrown in during our signing because I referred to my notes and pointed out that he had said they would be 'included at no charge'. Ask anything and everything that may come to mind, no question is too silly, and NEGOTIATE. Say you want to spend $120pp...say your max is $100 or $90. You'll be surprised at how low they can go. The first price is never the last price.

Good luck! Kepp us posted .
