Hope you don't mind

I don't know why this didn't occur to me until last night, but I have never checked out 2012 Brides before! It seems it would only make sense since I'm getting married January 20, 2013, right after you girls are all done. Hope you don't mind, but I may hang out for a while and learn a thing or two! :)

Thanks! It's going well. Have most of the main things booked. Just need photographer now. Then on to the things like invitations, favors, dresses (for everyone)... all that stuff! I see you're about a month before me! How's it going for you?

That's great. Let us know if you need any recommendation for vendors. The ladies on here are very helpful.

I am basically done but I have been engaged for 20 months. lol
My biggest issue currently is fitting in my gown so I can start fittings. programs, favors, rehearsal dinner things like that.

Thanks! I'm waiting until the last possible minute to go and get a dress for myself. I'm waiting to lose a little bit more before I go.

20 months! Wow! I bet your wedding day seems so close now!

I am also a January bride. I find the 2012 board more of where I am at. I also have not gotten my dress, I feel like im running out of time

I agree. It's funny how fast the time goes! My goal was to have the major things booked and done by the 6 month before mark. That's almost here for me and I still have so much to do! Just when I think I'm making progress, I come on these boards and feel like I'm so behind! :)

Welcome. You'll definitely learn a lot from everyone here. They are all so helpful.

Good luck on the dress hunt. It took me a few weeks to decide what dress I wanted but you'll know it when you see it. Also keep in mind that it could take about 6 months for the dress to come in depending on the designer. I ordered mine in early January and it just came in a week ago. I would suggest at least starting to look for your dress. You want to make sure you take your time in finding the perfect dress for you on your wedding day. The bm dresses can wait a little bit but your dress is most important. It's good to give yourself time to try different bridal shops to see who you like and where you feel comfortable also.

Enjoy the planning while it lasts, it goes very fast!!!
