Hoping to be a Mommy...
Glad this site is here. I am 34 yrs old ttc#1 and I have been on all the fertility sites. Hubby and I just celebrated our one year anniversary in August and I have been off bcp for 15 and NOTHING. Well it just so happens that the doctor found Fibroid Tumors in my uterus and I will be getting an HSG tomorrow. So please everyone send some dust and wish me luck!

Good luck!! I just got a script for a HSG, but I'm waiting a few months to see what happens.

Re: Hoping to be a Mommy...
Do to my age, I didn't want to wait since I've already been through 15 months without bc. I pretty much diagnosed myself, these doctors sometimes I just want to scream. I think the very HEAVY monthly flow should of tipped someone off. Sorry just venting, but thanks and I will report back.

Re: Hoping to be a Mommy...
I'm the same age as you so I know what its like. We've been married for almost 2 years and have not used bc the whole time even though we weren't 'officially' trying. My dr said we should give it a few months of really TTC and if I'm worried about it I have the script for the test.

Re: Hoping to be a Mommy...
Hi Ladies,Been there done that. I'm 38 (ouch) will be 39 in November and we were off bc since October. I voiced my concerns to my OBGYN in January after a yearly exam and he sent me to an RE. I had the HSG to rule out blockage, (it hurts a little, but not too bad) and after some additional testing found out what the problem was. We did conceive in June but unfortunately I miscarried
It is amazing what they can find out, don't be embarassed to go to an RE, you will be amwazed at how the simplest thing can hinder conception. Any

Re: RE is a Reproductive Endocrinologist :-)
Good luck to everyone!!!! Here's some dust, I'm pregnant so it might be strong stuff:**********EXTRA POTENT BABY DUST***********
I've mentioned before that my SIL had tried to conceive for a very long time and it turned out it was a simple procedure to remove a benign growth that was acting like an IUD. Dr. told he she'd probably be pregnant the following month.....and she was!! My nephew is now 20 months old. So don't get discouraged before you've had a chance to get some answers from a doctor (or doctors)
Best wishes to all!!
