Horrendous fashions of the late 80's and early 90's!

I'll start...here i am in sea world, circa 91...about 13...thinkin' i'm pretty damn hot in my tie dye short set'...i think i had the matching skirt, too. i shudder to think about it. who is next to share the slavery to fashion?

sorry the picture is on an angle...i think i made my aunt take it artistically.

what about those Hypercolor sweatshirts that would change color if you put your hand on them. no one mentioned that if you got a little hot, it would change color under the ARMPIT too!!!! My favorite though was the black spandex shorts with a florescent stripe down each side.

i posted these pics on the big hair thread awhile back also ... I shudder at them!!

Here's me and my brother .. please note (1) the upturned collars on both of us.. and (2) the ANKLE BRACELET I am wearing from my HS boyfriend .. not around my ANKLE, of course!

Here is another one .. not sure what that dress is all about -- check out those BIG SHOULDER PADS and the GOLD NAME PLATE! WOW!

Where to begin...... the hair (height AND colour) the make up....blue eyeliner w/ purple shadow.....'Dragon Lady' fingernails in bright neon colours, colorblock prints, vans with holes in them, Demin Jackets with patches on them......ugh, just the thought of it makes me cringe.

I have no pics to remind me of this stuff

OMG...the bennetton rugbys!! What about those hypercolor shirts? I had every color! French cuff jeans, crimped hair, penny loafers with pennies in them, sebagos tied weird...oy

ETA..those damn stirrup pants with the thick socks.

My moms friend was a wholesaler and I think I had ( no kidding) 30 pairs of them in every freaking color under the sun....rolled tight at the bottoms with baggy socks ...topped off with a champion sweatshirt...EWWWW

And how about the diaper pants?

I remember girls in my town wore the 'champion uniform' - the Champion sweatshirt, the tight jeans and the really thick scrunchy socks and of course white Keds.

And I remember wearing the ankle braclet as a necklace. I never quite got that idea. I mean if you wanted to wear it like that, then why did boyfriends buy anklebracelets and not necklaces?!?

ohmigod this thread is toooo funny!!!
I definitly remember the spandex stirup pants with the thick socks...
and my sister HUGE hair... ohmigod and how we used to put on like 5 pairs of socks all at once and all different colors and scrunch them so they looked like one big a$$ rainbow
EVERY party I had a poofy dress with shoulder pads. and my sister had a draw full of acidwash jeans!!!

Anyone else used to cut there jeans into short shorts and leave all the threads hanging??lol
