Horrible FMIL

Horrible FMIL

MY FMIL is horrible- she is obsessed with FH. The latest is she does not want to invite anyone to my shower-even though she invited over 100 people to the wedding (at no cost to her, my parents are paying for the wedding)
What should I do?

I'd find out why she doesn't want anyone there. Then if the answer isn't good enough I'd invite them anyway! Remember, it's your wedding.

I agree. Especially if she is doing it just to spite you, then invite whoever you want. There must be other people in his family you like? Also, I would ask her to cut down her guest list if it is too many for you. She needs to understand that all these people cost a lot of money to feed! What does your FH say??

thanks for the advice. i am just so stressed out. she has made every bit of wedding planning miserable for me. reading these boards and knowing i am not the only one who is dealing with these kinds of issues makes me feel so much better. i am new, but finally had to post!!! =) thanks for making me feel welcome.....

Is she throwing your bridal shower? It's not up to her to send the invites to her side of the family so as long as you have their addresses, you can invite them.

No, she is not throwing it but my Moma sked her for a list of names and addresses on her side. She said that she did not want anyone to come!!!

do you not have any of their addresses? or does your FI? He should be able to get some of his family's addresses. He can always sneak over to her place and copy the info out of her phone book
