Hot Child in the City - aka The Misadventures of Jennie's E-pics

So, we had our engagement pictures today with Anthony from Perceptions (he's awesome BTW and was not mad at me when I showed up 15 minutes late).

Let's start with where it all went wrong for me:

1) Bad idea #1: wearing black on a hot, humid day in June. Attempting to attain the svelte figure that Slim in 6 has promised me, I decide to speed along the process (I'm in week 2 of 6) so wear all black. The sweating begins.

2) Bad idea #2: blow-drying your hair TWICE in one day and expecting it to stay pretty. I actually stopped at a NYSC in my office building and re-blow dryed my hair before leavng for Maureen's to get my makeup done. Having very long, thick hair on your neck on a hot, humid day -- the sweating intensifies.

3) Bad idea #3: paying your makeup artist to do your makeup for the e-pics only to have it melt off your face in the hot summer sun. To her credit, Maureen made me look great and all of my eye makeup and fake lashes stayed on perfectly. I think I wiped off the blush after awhile -- what with the constant sweating and all

The ONLY thing I can hope is that Anthony was able to take at least a few pics where I don't look like a sweaty beast. Girls, it was AWFUL!! FH and I were both sweating like there was no tomorrow.

So, in hindsight, I would've taken my e-pics in the fall when the weather is more cooperative for photo taking. I don't know HOW I'm going to make it through my wedding day pics now!

He said he would mail them to us next week, so at least we get them pretty soon. I could not believe how hot it was outside where we were. I hate summer!

ETA: orchid -- definitely feel free to laugh AT me too. It was such a comedy of errors with this photo shoot. I was hoping that at least we'd all get a good laugh out of how hard I tried to look good and how much the weather was not cooperating!

I know how you feel we had the EXACT opposite!! We were supposed to do our E-shoot in the fall but dh was working SO MUCH that it was impossible. Well we FINALLY got around to doing them late January. It was FREEZING out and my newly done hair was flying everywhere. We are pale as ghosts in many pics b/c of the cold. Our hands and noses are red. We are shivering in most the pics What a disaster.

But despite all that we did get a few cute pics and I am grateful for even that many!!

I am sure SOME of your pics came out wonderful!! the rest we can hide or burn

that is too cute! you're a hoot! and i bet there turn out great!

BUT you may want to put some cold packs down your gown! keep it cool down under and you'll be cool all over! haha (that's just a joke!)

Oh Jennie I cant believe you took them today!!!!

When DH and I went, we were unprepared. My hair was wet and the ends were dead (needed a cut) thus resulting in two-tone hair! They offered to do another shoot for us in the studio. (We ended up not caring to do it) Maybe thats something you can do?!??!!
