hot yoga

Hi Ladies!
I was wondering if anyone has tried hot yoga? I have been going for about a week and let me say I was so skeptical at first and didn't think i would make it- needless to say I did i stayed in the room the whole 90 min and did most of the poses (every time I went).
I weighed myself today- down 7lbs in just one week of hot yoga. Now its not dieting because i DO NOT diet- I LOVE LOVE LOVE food and eat ALL DAY LONG lol

if anyone is interested in going I go to Hot Yoga in Massapequa :)

I have always wanted to try hot yoga, did you have experience with yoga before, can beginners do hot yoga or do you have to have some knowledge of the poses?

I have the same question too, since I have no yoga experience as well. I had started Zumba classes that I loved, but I stopped going as I didn't have a gym buddy to motivate me lol. I do need to loose weight though, and I can never stick to a dieting regime, so this may be a great idea.

I have been to hot yoga! I love it and I recently joined a gym and I think hot yoga would be good for me to add on. I didn't even really think of it! Where do you go in Massapequa? I live in Babylon but my gym is about 10 minutes away in Massapequa..

What is the gym that you go to for the hot yoga? This is something that I have always wanted to try but it kind of intimidates me

I LOVE hot yoga, it is my favorite!!! I go in Rocky Point = ) I never tried regular yoga before I tried hot either just went for it! Yoga is not judgmental so you ladies should give it a try if its something you have always wanted to do!

I did it one time a couple years back and felt like I was going to faint between the controlled breathing, holding poses, and the intense heat. I wish I wasn't such a wuss and that I could have gone through the whole session!

I did it once and had a hard time mid way through the class and had to sit in childs pose a lot. Is that normal did it get better as you went through the week, and did you go everyday or just a few times a week?

I used to go to Hot Yoga in Massapequa! (I'm in Islip now but pre-sandy I lived in Amityville)

Loved the way I felt after yoga..soooooo amazing. But boy I never made it through a whole class without resting lol it is intense, but the atmosphere was always calm and accepting even when my out of shape but had to lay down!

I love hot yoga I used to go to Hot Yoga in Sayville. It definitely gets you in excellent shape. I would love to to continue but..... does anyone else have a hard time justifying the cost while trying to budget for the wedding?

Yes! we are on budget lock down, so any big added costs are impossible for us. And once you do the math, its quite pricey. I'd love to do it again, its just not financially do able right now. I guess I'll keep an eye out for groupon lol..or wait for summer and just do it outside of the AC! hahah

definitely come to hot yoga with me!!! :) I am going on Monday 5/14- FM me if you want to go together

if you get light headed its because you didn't drink enough during the day- i made that mistake!! i definitely don't make it through the whole session & rest but i stay in the room the entire time which is the best part!!! I'm going next week on Monday at 6 and Thursday at 4! :)
