Hotel accommodations for out of town guests

I am looking for hotels to accommodate my out of town guests (along with me and my fiancé). I'm looking for places ideally equidistant from Melville and Patchogue. I'd like this place to maybe accommodate a rehearsal dinner and/or Sunday brunch without breaking the bank. Any suggestions?

Re: Hotel accommodations for out of town guests

yes, somewhere that would be convenient to both towns (ceremony is in melville, reception patchouge). i am not really familiar with the island so i need all the help i can get. hotel or a nice B&B is what i am looking for. 1/2 my guests will be from out of town, so i'm thinking 30-40 will quite possibly need rooms...

thanks!

Re: Hotel accommodations for out of town guests

My sister had all her guests stay at the Smithtown Sheraton and they loved it! The price is right, the service was great and the place is beautiful!

Re: Hotel accommodations for out of town guests

I would recommend the Marriott in Islandia. I am using this hotel next week for my OOT guests & myself. I will post a full review when its all over, but they've been wonderful to work with & can accomodate a rehersal dinner & they have wonderful options for brunch.

Re: Hotel accommodations for out of town guests

I am using the Huntington Hilton for OOT guests and FH and I. The Smithtown Sheraton is very nice. We stayed there for a friends wedding. I loved that hotel. The only thing I didn't like was that they wouldn't keep the bar open for a crowd of people after the wedding. But it is a great hotel and the rooms were nice and they had a great breakfast the next morning. FH and I will never stay at the islandia marriot again. We booked with them to stay for a friends wedding. Well, we went, checked in and they did not give us the room we booked for. Second, when we got back from the wedding at two in the morning and got up to our room, everything was soaked in our room. It had rained and we were on the top floor and the roof leaked all over our bed and all my belongings. We went down to try and get another room and they told us they were totally booked and there was nothing they could do for us. They did not even offer to try and find us another hotel. So we told them to credit my credit card and we would leave, well it took a month for them to credit the card after numerous phone calls. So we are boycotting the marriots. They never tried to make good on it and to me thats just plain bad business. But everyones experience is different so don't take what I say to heart.
