Hotel Bags
Re: Hotel Bags
we are gonna do the same thing so i will be listening too. we went to a wedding last summer and they had bottled water, iced tea, those little bags of chips, snack bars, little individual apirin packets, can't remember what else. the note that was in there basically said something like thank you for taking part in this special day, etc, love so and so.
Re: Hotel Bags
Most of my out of town guests (my FH's family) have never been to NY. So I am going to get those pop-out Rand McNally NYC maps along with train schedules/maps and some goodies since they are all planning to visit Manhattan during their stay. I was also thinking of getting bottles of Pindar wine and creating a label for them. And don't forget a wedding itinerary/event list and directions to events.

Re: Hotel Bags
I included bottled water, bunch of snacks from BJ's. I got a bunch of brochures, LI Guide and such from Visitor's Bureau (for free), I included some LI postcards, a bottle of Pindar Wine (Autumn Gold since I got married in Sept.) they have a season collection, and magnets I made from computer magnet paper with our names, and the I LOVE NY logo (really easy to make). If someone wants a sample of my Welcome Letter email me at [email protected] It was very simple -- just thanking everyone for traveling to join us for the wedding, some sight seeing tips, and an itinerary (for those close family members and wedding party members). Also put a list of phone numbers of my mom and my cell phone etc. if people had questions, and all the hotels guests were staying at in case family/friends wanted to get in touch with guests at other hotels. Oh and we at the last minute got some corkscrews so guests could enjoy the wine. And directions to the church, RD etc. in case guests forgot the ones included with invites.

Re: Hotel Bags
I did water, OJ, chips, cookies, mini-muffins, mints, chocolates, twizzlers and put them all in a paper gift bag with some tissue paper. What I got complimented on was that on the outside of each bag I wrote a personalized note to the guests (I only had 16 rooms booked at the hotel, so this wasn't too hard.)
