Hotel Block?

Hotel Block?

I have about 10 out of town families and I was wondering if you think I should block off rooms at a hotel or just let them make there own travel arrangements. Also can anyone suggest a hotel in Farmingdale?

I don't have any out of town guests but I know some friends and family may wanna stay and not worry about driving home that night so I blocked rooms at Viana Hotel &Spa in Westbury.

If you have 10, you may want to check with your venue because sometimes they have specific hotels that will provide transportation for your guests. My hotel is giving shuttle service two hours before and after the reception!

I have very few OOT guests, but a ton of drunk friends who will not want to drive. I booked with Viana Hotel and Spa and am VERY happy with them!

If you block the rooms they will usually get a discounted rate. So if you want to save your guests some money. I would block them. The process is easy, I did it for my guests..

For most hotels (at least the big chains) you don’t get penalized in any way if you don’t fill up the block so why not. They just release the unblocked rooms by a certain date if your guests don’t book. I am getting dressed at the Viana Hotel, however I did a room block for my guest at the Hilton Garden Inn in Westbury so that my guests don’t have to pay an arm and a leg.
