Hotel Block Help!! PLEEEEEEEEEEASE helllllp!

OK so I'm waaaay behind on this but have it narrowed to 2 hotels that I am going to look at today and tomorrow.

What am I asking them? How does the hotel block work, do I have to guarantee a room minimum? How do I estimate how many rooms I need when HALF our guests are OOT but I literally have NO clue how many are actually going to come?

Every hotel is different. Usually you dont have a guarentee a certain # to book. Just estimate with your numbers.

Some questions to ask:

How long before the wedding are unbooked rooms released?

Do you have to pay for any rooms not booked?

How many rooms can you block?

Is there a bar? If so when it open until?

Is there a pool (indoor/outdoor)?

Is you book a certain # of rooms, do the bride/groom get a discounted room?

Do you have suites?
