Hotel Block Issue - SOLVED
So I posted earlier agonizing over hotel blocks, well I found a great solution.
I mentioned that the closest hotels to my venue (The Inn at Great Neck and The Andrew) are both booked, and nothing else seemed suitable.
Well, I found out that the Inn at Great Neck is opening a new property called the Viana Hotel and Spa. It sounds like it's going to be awesome. It's a member of 'Small Luxury Hotels of the World' (like Oheka!). And since I was literally the first bride the new salesperson talked to, I got a GREAT rate, AWESOME extras and a free shuttle. It's in Woodbuy/Westbury and I can give you the contact number if anyone's interested.
It was actually the lowest rate we were quoted and I think its going to be the nicest hotel, and not to mention totally brand new!
The only hitch is that I guaranteed 6 out of 10 rooms at the Inn at Fox Hollow, which is where our night is booked. I wish we had been able to do this sooner since the Viana is giving us more for less.
