For those of you who already blocked their hotel, how long is the hotel leaving the rate open for? about a month before the wedding? Mine is only holding it for 5 weeks before, and that seems too early to me.

I think the standard time is 1 month....I know I usually book closer to the time, so I know, it stinks!

so i guess a month is the norm? that still seems short, but at least better than 5 weeks. 5 weeks is way too short i think, people would have just gotten their invites!

My hotel is holding the block of rooms up until 1 month before but honoring the price (if they still have rooms available) up until the last minute!

1 month but on the cards i am having them put an earlier date just for those people who are always late.
