Has anybody tried to negotiate the price they got for the hotel block. If so, how did it go? Thanks!

Yes...we got $20 off the regular price. I would have tried for lower but $139 is a good rate for the summer!
Also we blocked 80 rooms. Not sure how many will fill up yet...we have 27 rooms booked so far and havent sent out the invitations yet!
Actually the Holiday Inn was even cheaper...like $129 a night and we could have used that as leverage but FH said Holiday Inn does not hold a candle to Hilton so we just left it as is! Call around and find out what other hotels are offering so you can use that info!

wow, 80 rooms! i thought our 35 was a lot
you must have a lot of OOTers! (we have 15 rooms booked so far, 14 of them for 2 nights each... and invites are not out yet either)
