Can I do a hotel block if my wedding is more than a year away? I wanted to do the block next month when I'm in NY, but at that point it will be 13 months until the wedding.

you can prob. begin the process, but most hotels cant put the actual block through until the 1 year mark-but i signed a contract with the hilton garden inn about 14 months before my wedding..

I did a hotel block this week and I’m 13 months away so I don’t see why not plus some will let you have this years rates then

I did our's already...and we were more than a year away.
Hotels want your business- they'll block rooms for you. If not, go elsewhere.

I did mine in May for October, 2010 and they already have another room block for a wedding so I was the second.

Some places will allow this....but most like it to be just under a year in the least. good luck
