how many rooms did you block? Also, did you block one night or 2 nights?
What is a good rate for winter?
TIA!

Re: hotel block question
I blocked 10 to start on both Friday and Saturday nights since we have a big bunch of OT's at the wedding.
so far they have been booked since June when my Save the Dates went out and I just sent my invites out and NO ONE has booked a room yet I feel bad if they room block fills up and I cant block more rooms there

Re: hotel block question
we start off with 10 rooms, once those get filled up they will add on another 10 to the block. We don't get charged anything for holding the rooms or if rooms that don't get booked. We only did the block for one night.

Re: hotel block question
Does the hotel penalize you if you block more rooms then needed? Is there a contract that needs to be signed??

Re: hotel block question
I blocked 15 rooms in the inn and then 20 rooms at 2 other hotels in the area so that my guests can have an option if they do not want to pay the price of the inn.

I blocked rooms with Hampton inn and blocked a total of 20 rooms we are not responsible to pay anything for unbooked rooms. and they guarantee that if the price goes lower than the quote price they will lower it for our guests

Re: hotel block question
We blocked Thursday through Sunday and our wedding is on Saturday night. We blocked 10 rooms (without responsibility) and booked ourselves there that night!
