Would $189.00 be considered a good rate? Especially since my wedding date falls within the 4th of July weekend.

I think that is a pretty standard rate - that is what I was quoted for several places.

Yeah, I was quoted between 185-189 at the places I looked - The Andrew, The GCH, the Marriott in Uniondale . . . I don't remember the others. It is a lot, but maybe the season has something to do with that as well.

I was quoted $159 for a standard and $179 for a jr suite. I'm not even shopping around because we get the shuttle too.

i guess since its a holiday thats standard but thats alot of money to me...if i were a guest i wouldnt want to pay that, i would probably try to find a cheaper place nearby on my own

The quotes I got ranged from $119 for the Melville Marriot to $144 for the Four Points Sheraton and Huntington Hilton...
We went with the Hilton Garden Inn in Plainview for $129/night. Their shuttle was quite reasonable too at $300 for the day.
I'm thinking you're right though... since you are a holiday weekend they may jack it up...

I was quoted $199/night...but that's for Danfords in the middle of July so its to be expected...so your rate sounds good to me.

Which hotel?? I have 25 rooms at The GCH but I need a lot more bc FH's entire family is from out of state.
