HOTEL BLOCK STRESS!!!- larkfield manor

I need help!!

We are booked at Larkfield Manor and are looking at hotels now.

I am trying to figure out my options, and looking for help from previous larkfield brides!! (Or thatched cottage brides?)

I want:
A shuttle- cheap or FREE
A restaurant inside or very close- late night drinks and breakfast
A deal for me! If we are getting them all this business, I want a free room, if not a suite!
CLEAN, SAFE environment!!!

There are a few hotels betwen 4-6 miles, most don't offer a shuttle. If i am paying for a shuttle, I may as well book a nice hotel 8-9 miles away with the other ammenities I want! Right?

Then there are 2 with shuttles but.... i dont know if they live up to my expectations/ wants:
Holiday Inn Express (on expressway?)
Wingate Commack / Brentwood (heard really bad things)

What did you ladies do? I thought there was a thread on here, but I cant find it now....

I picked up my future niece from the wingate in commack and their was a horrible weird smell all in the area. I wouldn't want to stay there w/ that smell but she said it wasn't too bad inside.

I booked my block with holiday inn express....they do a free shuttle.with 10 rooms booked, and free full hot breakfast....the rooms were.also pretty.nice in my opinion. Also, the hotel is.set back off.of the service road, so the expressway was of.no concern to me

Once we had a hotel room party at the Winggate and the room was super nice and clean! LOL

Thanks! I guess I have to keep all my options open and go see the holiday inn express & wingate!

We booked our block with the holiday inn express in Hauppauge. They had one of the better prices and included the shuttle with 10 rooms. They are occasionally difficult to get in touch with though.
