Hotel block: X post from 2010

So I'm trying to set up hotel blocks soon so we can let OOT guests know and they can set it up.

CLM recommended Holdaiy Inn Express in Haupaughe. Anyone know anything about that??

We live in Queens, so I don't know any hotels out east.

I was also thinking of the following:

Melville Marriot
Huntington Hilton
4 Points Shearton Plainview
Best Western Massapequa

Thoughts on any of these? Or others?

Hi!
I actually have quotes from 1 or 2 on the same weekend as you when we were getting married 8/21/2010. FM if you're interested.
We decided that we were going to just do hotel rooms for his family as well instead of all of us renting a house together. So I wanted to find a nicer 'luxury' hotel for us to stay in on the wedding night to and subsequently set up blocks for our guests.
We went with Hyatt Regency on Long Island. Don't know if it's too far for you but it's real nice looking (from the website). The sales person I talked to is real nice AND it's on a golf course. Which the FI loves to golf so it's perfect.

Before this we were going to go with La Quinta Inn and Suites. Pretty new, complimentary breakfast, near the Islip Airport. Based on per night individual rates online this one would've been the nicest of the cheaper ones near my venue.

Good Luck!

the four points sheraton in plainview was very nice and accommodating. good price too. I never went and saw it, but we have a block there.
