Hotel Blocking need help ASAP

I only have a dz or so invites that need hotel blocks. Doesnt even mean they will come.

My wedding is on a Sunday Should I block it for only sunday into monday or sat to monday what do ppl usually do?

Is it worth it to block rooms or just send a little card with recommendations of local hotels???

Also if I block rooms is it worth it to get accomendation cards printed to match my invites or could I get something from the hotel?? Or print myself?

I think it depends on what time your wedding is on Sunday. If it is a day wedding, I would do Sat. Unless you just want to do the reccomending of hotels in the area. It doesn't cost you anything to block rooms so your guests can get a discounted rate if they decide to stay. I think you should block at least 10 rooms.

ITA, depends on what time the wedding is over. Mine is over at 12:30am (Saturday night) so I blocked rooms Saturday into Sunday... Also, most hotels will provide you with the cards and you can just put them in the invitations for those who may need a room, or you can have your own made, it's up to you.

My wedding is a Sunday at 4pm. FH and I did a room block for Sunday night. We don't have too many OOT guests, but we figured it was nice to provide something for them and then all of our guests will be together. When we blocked the rooms the hotel gave us printed papers with all of the info about the block (our names, price, etc.) and we put them in with the save the dates. HTH

I just got the standard insert from the hotel and didn't bother to create something that matched the invitations.

I would block rooms for Saturday and Sunday nights, if the hotel allows you to for no charge. It doesn't hurt anyone and only helps your OOT guests.

My experience with Sunday weddings is that less people stay over, but I would have a few rooms blocked.

If you have a Sunday day wedding block about a dozen rooms for Saturday night and maybe 5 for Sunday night. If you have a Sunday night wedding reverse it.

I would block rooms because everyone is in the same hotel and it makes it easier to keep track of them. Smaller hotels will have no problem blocking rooms for you.

The hotel gives you something.... I booked it for Sat. night and a few for Friday night just in case....

I think you should block off the minimum amount of rooms, just in case. It would be a shame if all the hotels in the area were booked up and you didn't have rooms blocked off.

ETA: I blocked off the night before and the night of since I have some OOTers.

my wedding is on a friday and i only blocked rooms for that night i figured if people are going to come earlier they will just add it to what is already blocked for themselves.

My wedding is a Saturday evening. I booked my rooms for Friday night to Sunday. So for a Sunday wedding I would say Saturday to Monday. I recommened the room block b/c you get s discounted rate.
