Re: Hotel blocks
Most '06ers have blocked their rooms - but yes, those are good quotes, esp for the summer.

Re: Hotel blocks
I booked the Hampton Inn and the Radisson at exit 63 off the LIE. (All of our guests were from OOT) If you block a certain number of rooms at either one you can get the suite for a cheaper price. I got the suite at the Radisson for the night before the wedding and my DH got the suite at the Hampton Inn for both nights. We liked them both!
If Maite is still the one in charge of the room blocks at the Hampton Inn, she is TOTALLY amazing!!!!

Re: Hotel blocks
We're blocked at the Radisson at Exit 63 and they have been good so far. I can let you know how it all goes next month! I think the rate is $99/nite.

Re: Hotel blocks
being my friend works at the Holiday Inn in Ronkonkoma, we got $109 for standard room $129 for suite shuttle to/from Villa Lombardi's
No breakfast, but they had a bar for the afterparty and a resturant for breakfast the next day. Plus, we got our room for free being our guests booked over 20 rooms

Re: Hotel blocks
We blocked rooms at the Hyatt Windwatch in Hauppauge but we had to guarentee 10 rooms, which we had no problem filling. Having an afterparty was really important to us and they have a really nice lounge/bar there. We also wanted to stay with our guests but wanted a nice hotel for our wedding night. Luckily I was able to haggle the price a little bit so they would meet competitors prices. So far they have been great to work with. http://windwatch.hyatt.com/hyatt/hotels/index.jsp
We originally blocked with the Holiday Inn Express in Hauppauge b/c they offered a shuttle, but after they sent us FOUR incorrect contracts I no longer felt confident and cancelled with them.
