HOTEL BLOCKS

Nassau County Brides - which hotels did you block rooms for your OOT guests? Has anyone had any bad experiences with any?

Fairfield Marriott in Syosset and Residence Inn in Plainview (also owned by Marriott).

Both were extremely nice.

Holiday Inn in Westbury

Patty, I just called yesterday to find out about blocking rooms here. Could you tell me what $ they gave you and what requirements? I had to leave a message and haven't heard back yet. You can FM me if you don't want to post it.

Thanks!

Best Western in Massapequa...they've been okay. Granted, I did go with a cheaper hotel (I feel bad for our out of towners coming so far and spending so much $$$). It's also the closest hotel to my church/hall.

I agree - Based on my research many of the hotels are high - I have blocked at the Uniondale Marriott and Wingate Inn - and the prices are very similar.

We blocked at the Hilton Garden Inn in Westbury.

Nice (and fairly new) and the service is great.

How do I go about reserving rooms? Do I need to leave a deposit? I've been thinking of resererving a few rooms at the Best Western Inn Massapequa. I have no idea how it works!!

Just call and talk to their sales rep and tell them you want to block rooms for a wedding. Let them knwo how many rooms and they will set a rate. Most places send you a contract to sign. There is no deposit and usually if the rooms aren't reserved a month before the wedding date they are released to be reserved by the general public
